Installed the Hyve mag release in a new G43X today. Got to say, it is excellent! First impressions, I like it MUCH better than the Shield Arms mag release because it sticks out a tab bit more, but it just feels better. I have medium size hands, so it you have big ole paws, maybe not for you. But I sure like it, and
MORE importantly, my wife likes it better! LOL!
 
My blue Hyve Tech Monarch trigger arrived today. I could not tell any difference between the Gen 5 trigger bar on it and the stock G44 trigger bar. I installed and performed a function test to make sure it dry fired and reset fine. I will try to get to the range tomorrow to actually test fire it. I think I am going to have the local shop cancel my order for the blue extended mag release and blue extended slide release since it has been almost 2 months and no parts yet.

I would say considering the “Glock leg” and known kaboom issues that it’s more like tricking out a reliant robin. A diligent driver can keep from crashing one, but death is only a brain fart away. If your not familiar with a Reliant Robin, the Top Gear BBC guys did a wonderful bit on simply trying to drive one across town. And they flipped it repeatedly.

And no, I’m not a total hater. I love the g42 that my wife has, but the fan base has driven me crazy, and the “perfection” slogan always struck me as snobbish and idiotic once they got to perfection generation 4. I like the blue accents. It would look better with more of them, but it’s hard to dress up a solid black piece of plastic.

That is why I did not change anything on my G44 until shooting at least 3,000 trouble free rounds through it. And I will test the heck out of the new trigger too. If I don't feel comfortable with it, it will get removed. I still am going to change to a blue mag release and want an extended slide release to make it easier for me to reach. I was happy with how the blue looks with the black frame. I have seen photos where the pins are blue also but the blue pins just didn't do anything for me.
