How much powder do you own?

I picked up some different powders during the Dark Ages... I was running low on Unique, which was nowhere to be found, so I was at the mercy of what was on the shelf... so I have more powders than I would normally stock. I've also set off on a foolish quest to find a common powder for 9mm and .45ACP (besides Unique,) so I have those, too. Further, I started getting into cast rifle bullets, which require different powders than what I had... so I have more of those, now, too. I am in the process of slimming down the powder shelf, however.

Regular pistol stock is 4 powders (WST, Unique, IMR4227, W296.) Rifle powder... 4 (IMR4198, H335, IMR3031, IMR4064.) I currently have 7 powders that I'm using up and not replacing... including TiteGroup, W244, W231, SportPistol and BE-86. 2 'honorable mentions' are 2400 and IMR4895, which I haven't decided what to do with, yet.

As far as quantity... I have enough of some, and not enough of others. I really regret passing on that 8# of IMR4198 last year. Dumbo.

@.308 Norma what load did you finally go with?
Thanks for asking.:)
Actually, our grandson Matt called about an hour before he was supposed to be here and said he wasn't feeling right and didn't want to risk exposing us two old folks if he has Covid. We're kinda worried, but Matt is young (21) and strong, so we're sure he'll be okay even if it is Covid.
Disappointing though, and not just because Matt didn't get to come out and work up a load for his 1911 today, but because last week he took the ASVAB tests (he's planning on joining the Army), did real well on them, and part of the reason he was coming out to the house was to talk to his grandmother and me about selecting a field to go into.
Anyway, trying to stay on topic here - my notes tell me 5.5 grs of TiteGroup behind a 200 gr Hdy FMJ is a medium/hot load in my own 1911, and it works well. So I was figuring on working up to that in Matt's 1911 to start with. Later on, after Matt gets the hang of things, I was figuring on his working up a load using the HDY 200 grn HDY XTPs and Win 231 powder I have on hand.:)

sounds like a good, responsible young man. Though it did not work today, there is always tomorrow. Count your blessings.

About 10 lbs of shotgun powder. I buy a 8 lb jug of clays and a 4 lb jug of 20/28 when I purchase. About 10 small containers of the powders I use for pistol. Actually right now all I actually use is Trail Boss, HP 38, and Tightgroup. Local store here has good inventory of powder and has some primers. Do not know if it is old stock or if they just have a good supplier.

Not shooting much lately,so I've got enough for a while . Primers are my main concern down the road. I can work up loads with almost any powder. I like to stick with certain primers though.

How much powder do you have right now? Can you name kind and quantity?
Yes, I maintain an Excel spreadsheet in which I keep updated quantities & types of propellants and primers.

I will not share that information in an internet forum, however. ;)

What I gave up trying to track is not only ammunition qtys & types but bullet & case totals. Before long, trying to track those made me cuckoo ... er. :)

i was wondering in this time of shortages, what people have on hand. I have IMR-4064, Powder Pistol, 1# PB, 777, Goex, some Red Dot and a partridge in a pear tree. Most containers are open and I have enough to load up the family for hunting. If the zombies attack, bring food and booze to my house. I saw on the internet, in Texas, for what I got, I'm considered a newbie in need of more supplies.
