So you can’t buy #10 or 11 caps anymore? Nobody has them. I asked a gun store that told me all primer products are out of stock with a ship date of 2024. Can this be right?

2024? I think thats a little bit on the exagerating side. I know some stores are sold out but im sure the primers/caps will start trickling in within the new year...maybe not...but i doubt until 2024. You can still find them for sale online and my local hardware shop has them and just received a new order in last week for remington 11s and cci 11s...so wholesalers still got them.

The main photo and description are for 209's (shotgun primers I think?) so it's very decieving. But on the right side of the screen underneath the price there's a drop-down menu where you can choose 209's OR the Remington 10's. They're $8.99/pack and can have them shipped to the store for pickup (no hazmat fee) or shipped to your house for extra $$$. Navigating to it is also impossible unless you do a search on their site for Remington Primers. It will bring you to the above linked page.

I have a case of 100 tins of the Remington caps, 10K in total, that I bought about 15 years ago. That should last me will I go home to my Lord with plenty left for the grandkids. Jenny’s boy really loves his grandpas smoke wagons.
I currently have almost 7K in stock, but at 79 I’m going to do my level best to fire them off. Grandkids can buy their own.;);)

I live by bass pro. Actually worked there for 10 years starting 1978. Bought my ROA there in the 90’s. Guess I should just go check it out. I never shop there because of their mark up prices.

I've seen the Remington caps in stock (online) at BPS/Cabelas but can't believe they are getting $80-90 per thousand. They were selling for $55-$60 per K at the beginning of this year.

I've been finding CCI's still for $5.95 per hundred somewhat locally and have been getting a few packs every time I'm in the area. Dont care for them as much, but they keep me shooting.

Even at the physical store BPS/Cabella's were still selling the CCI's for 8.99 a pack. It's the only place in the entire city that has caps so I'm stuck paying the higher price. I'm new to cap and ball revolvers but I'm guessing that once the price goes up it never comes down.

It will come back down. They went up last time too, to $7.99 if I remember right. Then they went back down to 5.99. be patient, normal "should resume shortly".

Understood. Hopefully its temporary.

I wonder if basd pro shop or cabelas do price match? I know cabelas used to...i had walked in and gotten archery equipment cheaper if i showed them a better price online. Maybe theyll price match if you show them a site where its 5.99 or so a tin? Im lucky my lgs sells them for $3.19 plus tax for a tin of remington 11s

Some of you all should start looking into getting scrap lead...its only a matter of time before that MIGHT start drying up. I have an uncle in construction, owns a small company, and he gives me lots of roofing scrap lead. Pure lead too and great for muzzleloading. I always have a good 500 pounds or so saved up just to be ahead of the curve for any shortages or emergency situation. Also ingredients for making my own powder. Im not the paranoid or prepper type...but i would really be kicking myself if things went bad and i couldnt shoot my revolvers and muzzleloaders.

I work for an auto parts supplier and they have already banned lead wheel weights in many states, and eventually will be all states. Those states have to use zinc.

Good thing we still have companies like Rotometals and scrap yards/metal recycling shops...my local scrap yard has large crates full of lead roofing sheets...sells for $1 a pound. Hopefully we always have a way to get lead
