The Ruger Mark III & IV pistol versions have smaller diameter, and tapered bolt ears, so some owners are attaching a "gizmo" called a "halo attachment" to assist in pulling the bolt backward. Both companies that sell these, Shop Ruger & TK, charge $49.95 plus shipping for one of those.
Was snooping around on ebay yesterday for Ruger gun parts and seen the very same look-a-like "halo" attachment for $29.95 and free shipping. Quite a nice savings as the ebay version L@@KS, and works, exactly in the same manner.

I dunno. The Tandemkross has almost double the gripping surface. You sure the cheapie version isn't going to pull off when you yank and score your bolt ears in the bargain?

You tell me:

That's the pic I was looking at. I was asking you. Here's the Tandemkross:

Like I said, about twice the grip width. I think it's worth twice the price, myself. And I do have one installed on my Mark IV. But that's my opinion. I don't doubt you know more about the topic. If you've actually bought and tried the cheapie and found it to be the equal of the Tandemkross, then I'll gladly stand corrected.

For one thing, the Mark III & IV bolt isn't THAT hard to pull back. And yes, it will work just as well as one that costs twice the price, plus shipping. But I do understand, nobody likes being taken advantage of.
Yes, I ordered two, and they work just as well as the TK, twice as expensive version, that was on a customers pistol. I've not read or heard of anybody getting a hernia from pulling a Ruger bolt backward as yet, without a bolt ear loop or any other assistance!
