Today was a beautiful day in the desert and a perfect time to get out the .22's for some fun. I wanted to keep things simple, so brought out our bolt action .22's. My daughter was shooting her CZ 452 Scout and I was shooting my CZ 455 LUX and a very nice Remington 512 that a neighbor recently gifted to my family. They don't shoot much, but wanted to keep the family Remington active so they gave it to us. It is a very nice rifle with a date code of 1945. My daughter was on fire today and pretty much hitting at will out to about 100 yards. Her little Scout preformed exceptionally well and she was very proud of her shooting skills. She even won 10 bucks from me for hitting a target @ 100 yards 10 out of 10 times! She was so confident that she wanted to try the 22 LR GP100 for the first time. We had a great day with the CZ's, Ruger, and Remington and I can not think of a better way to spend the day or start off the year.

Even though my kid's are all "grown up" now, I still have fond memories of teaching them how to shoot when they were so much younger. Enjoy your time with your daughter as it goes by too fast!

And you're right: great way to start off a new day and a New Year!

My daughter loves to shoot and she even loves to reload! She considers that "Arts and Crafts" in the garage. One time my wife had her at Brownies and they were asked to share on thing the recycle. She told everyone she recycles bullets with her dad. I guess that shocked the group, but made my wife and I proud. I hope to keep her engaged in shooting and reloading as long a possible.

Love it. I have 3 daughters that I taught to shoot took to gun training and took hunting. They all gave up shooting when college ruined their minds.

I think you need to stop betting against your daughter. ;)

What is the revolver she is shooting?

She is shooting our Ruger GP100 in .22LR. It is a great gun and this is first time with a handgun. My son loves that one and it has more than a couple of bricks through it!
