Most fun with clothes on?

What’s your pick? What 22 is “the most fun you can have with your clothes on”?

I went with the Ruger MK series, even though I'm more partial to my Browning Buckmark but that's not on this list.

A close second would be my daughters 15-22, so much so that I'm building a dedicated .22 upper for myself.

None of the above.

Skydiving. Jumped five times as a college kid. Sorry, but I'm messed up.

Shooting is extremely relaxing and requires concentration. Trouble is my dog is scared when she hears it. Even if I go to a range away from home, she smells the nitrates on me and is scared (her previous owner shot her and her brother with a pellet gun),

A bunch of my buddies went skydiving several times when I was in college. I ALWAYS wanted to go with them, but I was paying my own way through school and never had the extra cash. Most of them decided against college and were working full time and always had money to buy cool things like fourwheelers and streetbikes and to pay for vacations like going to the Rockies and then the Alps to go skiing. Then by the time I graduated and was working full time, they had all bought houses and didn't have the spare cash themselves to do cool stuff.

Had it narrowed down to 3 choices. The 10/22, The Single Six, and the Henry lever. Then decided to go with a long gun, and this past year the Henry lever got more use than the 10/22 so the Henry got my vote.......It was still a tough choice though.. IMG_3066.JPG ...

I have shot quite a few .22 handguns, but my Browning Buck Mark Target runs circles around them all in accuracy and function. It has been the cause of many a squirrels and cottontails demise here in my native Texas. I love taking it to my clubs rimfire silhouette matches.

As far as a rifle, my 10/22 takedown gets the nod here.

You know,,,, you can still fool around with clothes on. lol

As far as a liked .22, I'll join the poster above with my choice of a Buckmark.

My grandfather's Winchester 190 is more fun than a 10/22. The one time I fired it. Being able to throw in shorts and longs as well as long rifles is a nice ability.

I went with the Ruger Mk something. I've had a Ruger .22 pistol on and off (mostly on) since 1972. I enjoy shooting them, even though the S&W M41 shoots better. I currently have two Rugers. A competition built gun with a Shileen (?) barrel and trigger work and a recent Mk 3 with short barrel (4"). The short pistol is lighter and easier to drag about.

I didn't bring up the CZ rifle for which I crave as I don't have one and can't properly say.

My issue when .223 comes up. I want an American so bad I can’t see straight. Too bad the wife sees straight to the bottom of my toy account and I keep finding other things to buy first. One of these days when CZ is defunct and the rifles triple in price I might finally get around to buying one.

The old classic Nylon 66 is a better gun than anything on that list.
Better as in more collectible? I had the opportunity to buy one in good condition some years back from a friend for $100. I didn't know they were collectible at the time but I really didn't like that rifle. I had 4 10/22's at the time and decided to pass. As soon as I asked about takedown he said he didn't know and hadn't taken it apart, old man told him not to fool with it.. It felt flimsy and has lil to no aftermarket support and from what I'm told taking it apart for maintenance is an ordeal.

I have a couple of Buckmarks. A Plus, which is beautiful, and a Camper with a TacSol threaded barrel. When the Sparrow isn't on the CZ 452 American that got my vote, it's on the Camper. Buckmark. Definitely an honorable mention.

While I voted for the Ruger 10/22, the first 22 rifle I owned was a Marlin Golden 39A lever action.
The ease with which this gun could be taken apart and the size that resulted (this was a "take down" before that became a "thing"), it could take a mixture of Shorts, Longs, and Long Rifle in its tube magazine and shoot them mixed. If you were using it for "varmint control", using the Shorts only gave you over 2 dozen rounds for critters. Adding a 2-7X scope made it even better. :D

I’m not voting because it is going to turn into a “what’s the best hamburger” poll. When the local alt weekly used to run those, McDonalds would win, because there were enough people that had never had anything else that all the great alternatives were swamped. My vote, if it were on the list? “Whatever gun you have when you take your kids or grandkids shooting!”

By the way, looking back on my post is seems a trifle curmudgeonly. I actually really enjoy everyone’s posts on their favorites and there are plenty of non-mainstream opinions. I particularly like the Remington 241.
I like it too and my "New Haven" Mossberg 251C is a very close second choice. It's a shorter carbine and perhaps easier in brush than the 24" barrel on the Remington and holds 15 rounds rather than the 10 rounds of the Remington. But the Remington is definitely the more accurate and easier to shoot at distance than the Mossy.

I can certainly get on board with this cause the best burgers are the ones off my grill, that I cook watching the grandkids in the pool.
Also I'm fat and have a bunch of 22s so the analogy hits home.

What happened to: Something Else (list it and I’ll add it) ?

I figure this whole affair is skewed towards that wart-ridden little Ruger with its poxy magazines and hid-ee-ose wood.:neener:

Several of us have chimed in about the Marlin 39 and still not on the ballot.

Well, I guess it's not the first time my vote hasn't amounted to much lately.;)

"Most fun with your clothes on?" Literally?

Coasting downhill on a regular bicycle from near the top of the Feldberg, a large hill, in the Black Forest (Germany) in '77.
It was Cool passing some of the slow cars. * There was probably a thick spoke or other structure on the bike which was .22 "caliber".
