If people are lining up to buy then resell, it’s priced too low.
" I have 5,000 Wolf small rifle primers I would like to sell but I can't legally sell them on GB. I need an explosives license to ship them. "
A private individual can ship ammunition - but not primers.
I just saw a spp auction on GB that very clearly specified the buyer would have to pick up the primers in person. Maybe that's an option for you." I have 5,000 Wolf small rifle primers I would like to sell but I can't legally sell them on GB. I need an explosives license to ship them. "
A private individual can ship ammunition - but not primers?
ORM-D
Depends on your intent.
Buy for $40 and put on auction starting at .01 KNOWING you're gonna get $200 is gouging.
I bought them too.I was able to get 500 Extreme .308 150 flat point bullets for $65.00 last week, after watching a bidding war take the same item to $174 on G.B.
Just have to be patient!!
Hope you come out of it no worse for wear. Wife and I both had it, for us it was the weakest flu we've ever experienced. Understand some are not so lucky though.
Armslist is too busy committing suicide for the government to have to take action against them. There's a banner on the site now that indicates they are way behind on responding to emails and that they have suspended accepting new members at this time. I would be very surprised it that's because they are overwhelmed by people paying the membership fee. It's different this time, the state of the union is not strong, depending what happens on the 20th could be a catalyst Add COVID where manufactures are backlogged and it is a perfect storm. I disagree sites like gunbroker will be gone though after any court challenge, it will be sites like armslist that perpetuate people to privately meet up and sell.
Well no, I did start early this time before COVID hit for the calibers known to go but didn't expect odd calibers like 8mm Mauser and 6.5 Swede to be affected but they have been, the prices are way high and availabilty low.
Either way for the amounts I do have good supply they will be used sparingly for now. More .22 shooting for a while because I didn't get caught off guard on that this time.
My understanding is that factories only make one run per year of the odd calibers. When there is a shortage they don't make them at all and keep the machines cranking out the stuff everyone wants.
More so with some presidents than others......These ammo panics arise every presidential election year. You can set your calendar by it.
The solution?
Simple.
Stock up well ahead of time. Get your stockpile in place the year before.
