Primer Nightmare. nice prospectiveI vote nay. I've seen other places that have the reloading subforum broken up into sections for data/ components/ equipment/ etc. I guess it works ok, but I like having it all in one place like we do now. And I think we'll wake up from this primer nightmare at some point, and then either the admins will delete it or we'll just have a defunct primer section for a few years until the cycle repeats.
Amen. I need to see gun and knife related leather work. That way I can get good ideas. We are a gun enthusiast group. You break that down once and you have rifle, pistol, shotgun, reloading, gunsmithing, etc... Toss in a couple very much related topics... hunting, knives, leatherwork (hint hint) and you get to the exact spot we are in now. If you go further down you start losing people by breaking the group down. That’s no bueno. I think we are almost at a good point, we just need that leather working section.
Specifically to primers, once the shortage ends you won’t see so many threads anymore.
Before a "primer" section there has to be a "BRASS CLEANING SECTION"!
Which section would a discussion of a load with various powders, bullet weights and substituting small rifle or regular primers for magnum primers and crimp changes go? It'd start getting real confusing real quickly where to do a post and which forums to peruse. The reason there are a lot of primer posts currently is because primers are scarce. When they eventually come back it'll get back to normal again.
I can see all those threads being closed in short order.
Better Homes and Gardens is to commercialized these days, we'd never get through all the adds.
I vote that Martha Stewart would be a better choice, I'll bet she uses an ultrasonic cleaner too!
Perhaps her new friend Snoop could be the one. They seem to be peas and carrots these days. I’m not sure if his street cred has suffered or if hers is that good following her stint, but either way that’s an odd pair. She has a Federal arrest, not sure if she can play with guns?
