0.020" - 0.003?yet the above chart says CCI 550 have a cup thickness of .017 and the CCI 400 have a cup of .020 ..... so witch is it ?

H335 doesn't need magnum primers according to Hodgdon. H110 doesn't either.

that means Note 1 supercedes the info in the chart. It is no different than the following section where it says the Federal 150 primer has a thinner cup, all the rest are 0.020".
When I asked CCI ,I was told the 450's have a .025 thick cup vs a .020 cup on the 400's. The heavier cup was recommended for rifles with floating firing pins. >025 and .020 are not the same! Some shooters( including Me) had "slam fires" with their 6.8SPC using CCI #400.
ok I see that now , nice catch. the way he worded that and didn't list 450 -vs- 400. I missed it even on my 3rd read"Sunray" said the only difference between the two (magnum and standard primer)was the priming compound and nothing else. The standard CCI small rifle primers (#400) have a .005 thinner cup than the magnum,bench rest or mil spec.
