Love my Micro 9
Still need to find a nice holster for it though.
What do you guys use?

I certainly want a fine leather holster like my El Paso from South Africa.

My p238 definitely will not allow the trigger to drop the hammer from half-cock with the thumb safety engaged, and will not allow the hammer to be fully cocked either.

Is this different from the situation you were discussing @ApacheCoTodd ?

So here's the deal:

If the hammer is all the way down, you can engage the safety at which point you can then draw it to half-cock. Here, if the trigger is pulled the hammer will fall that short distance exhibiting the light-strike.

At this point, the hammer will not travel fully rearward and the slide is locked as well until the safety is released.

Sounds like the Sig may have an important win here.

Yes it does. Not the case on the micros, though.
ON the micro - while the safety does not engage an external slide cut-out as on the full size 1911 - it does stop the slide from rearward motion by locking the hammer thereby blocking the slide after just under 1/8" inch of movement.

WoW! It almost sounds like a mag issue. From what I understand Kimber's are built to very exacting tolerances... I'm not sure the mags are held to that standard.
I believe from my short experience that it may well be the mags. Another interesting issue mag-related is if I fully load my magazine, cycle a round to the chamber and top off the magazine again - if I remove the magazine with this loading, often times the top round in the magazine will be loose in the magwell when I drop the magazine.

Rather odd & disconcerting.

This does not happen, however, if I don't top the magazine off after chambering a round.

Upon further review, when mine is in half-cock, the trigger will not move and the hammer will not drop whether the safety is engaged or not. Only option at this point is to remove safety and pull hammer to fully cocked.

Further, half-cock can be achieved whether safety is on or not by either thumbing the hammer back or pulling the slide slightly rearward.

I've heard that too. I'm going to mark myself fortunate, as I'm not experiencing any of these problem s with the multiple Kimber's I've purchased. I did buy extra Kimber mags for each gun. I'm running full mags +1 without any problems. I bought one for my daughter, I'll have to ask her if she's experiencing any problems. The other 9 and the .380 are my wife's. I know those are running fine. Mines a Rapide...it has an added mag well so it uses proprietary mags with a different bottom plate. Of course those mags command more money...but that's marketing. Mine runs both mags full +1 with no hiccups. The one thing I do before putting a new gun in service is cycle the slide a couple hundred times to mesh the parts together and on mine I also polished the feed ramp. Don't know if that made a difference but it runs like a Swiss watch.

Nice to hear. They hold up their rigidity fairly well then?

I like the look and am growing to appreciate how this style spreads the load more than my favored single-clip.

Ryans holsters are flawlessly constructed to your specs and they hold their shape exceptionally well.. You can order without reinforced opening or with to allow easy re-holster. I'm partial to his inside the waistband reinforced Town & Country" holsters as they are very comfortable. I have one for my officers 1911, Micro 9, Sig 238 and 938 and one outside the waistband for a govt 1911. Yes, they are a little pricey and yes it takes some time from order to receipt but the quality and craftsmanship make the wait and cost worth it.

Do you have a link for them other than the farcebook? It's is the only one I can find and refuse to use.

I do find a *Ryman's" though but you're probably not talking about them, right?
