I've owned a pair of Ruger KLCR revolvers for the past four years and use them daily for concealed carry, open carry around the property and also open carry while hiking. I've pocket carried the revolvers on occasion but have been looking for a relatively slim, lightweight pocket carry pistol in 9mm that shoots and carries well. Me and my gf shot 100+ rounds through a new Micro 9 this evening and were impressed. I found it easy and fast to shoot, more than accurate enough and 100% reliable shooting 124gr Golden Saber ammunition. My gf shot 36 rounds and did well but had some minor "irritation" on her trigger finger and the web of her shooting hand. Loaded with 6 rounds of 124gr ammo the Micro weighs the same as the KLCR loaded with five rounds of 125gr .357 Mag ammunition. My only complaint was loading the magazines which seemed to be considerably more strenuous than loading SIG P225 or P239 magazines. Overall I think I might of found what I'm looking for once I can buy a black one with a Crimson Trace laser grip. The Micro will be my summer carry gun but I'll still use the KLCRs for concealed carry in the colder months, open carry on my property and hiking.

I shot the Micro 380 when it first came out and was impressed but I didn't (and still don't) have any interest in the cartridge. The Micro 9 is a little bigger and is really a pleasure to shoot. Here are a couple of photos of the pistol. I "photoshopped" the last three digits of the serial number since the pistol isn't mine. I need to find a good pocket holster while I wait.

It's another mini 1911 design like the Micro 380 and P938. I almost bought one, but until some fancier models come out I'm keeping my 938.
