Anyone have any first-hand experience with these sights?

I'm having trouble visualizing how these sights really work. I get the tritium part, but the "highly visible front" thing has me a bit confused. Seems to me it's just some bright green or orange paint surrounding the tritium vial. Not fiber optic. So how well does this really show up in the daytime?
Looks good on paper, but just wondering what it's like in real life.
I honestly don't need a night-sight component anyway; just want something that stands out in the daytime.
If you've used these, or have a better idea, let me know.
Thanks

I have this exact set on my G43. The rear sight only glows when it’s charged by light. So if it’s carried iwb it’s not gonna glow at night. The front sight is actually a trijicon. The tritium insert glows and you can see it pretty good. Around the tritium is the same as the rear sight. It only glows when you charge it with a flashlight etc. So basically all you see at night is the tritium insert and that’s it. During the day it’s just like you said, a highly visible yellow around the tritium it’s not fiber optic. Hope this helps

Thanks Smokepole. How would you compare the visibility of the front sight in daylight, vs. a fiber optic? I know it's apples and oranges, but does the front sight stand out enough to get a good bead on a target in a self-defense situation? Thanks again.

The visibility in daytime is very good. I think for night sights there’s better options, but they’re far better than stock glock sights. It’s hard to compare it to fiber optic I’ll try to upload some pics so you can see.

My absolute favorite Glock sights, not only because lime green or yellow pop best for my colorblind eyes, but also the square sight with the square notch really focus quicker for me than a circle in a square or U notch.

So, for me the yellow stands out better than most other options including red fiber optics in bright or normal light, green fiber optics it's a wash.

Yes the luminescent paint is largely pointless unless you charge it but it can occasionally help if you are shooting in bright light and transition to shade for some reason.

But my main likes are the yellow/lime green color and the square design. The tritium on my three sets isn't actually very bright in the dark compared to others, but for truly dark i like a flashlight or WML (or both).

I will say the fat front sight on the CAP, while fast inside 15 yards, does lose some precision at longer distances.

I have them on my Glock 26 I bought two years ago. Its my favorite sites on any of my pistols. Myself, I like the idea of having night sites even though I don't really shoot anywhere where I can utilize them.

If they work for you that is awesome. It have found that the big front sights do not really translate to fast or better sight acquisition. They are almost always less accurate T distances over 15 yards with most shooters.

I personally whenever possible these days am using U notched sights. There is real science behind them. Your eyes will naturally focus faster on the u vs the square. I personally have also moved away from night sights because after actually shooting at night during a training session with Vickers and Hackathorn I realized that their window of usefulness is narrow. They are good for “low light” not no light or daylight. A handheld weapon light or weapon mounted light is better tool

That said I have “FBI” Agent Ameriglos on my Glocks. They are cheap work well.
