L579 sako

Hi...
Sako L579 are great rifles.
I own one in .243 and it is a finely fitted and finished rifle that is very accurate.
I had a different one back in the 1980s that I had to sell due to a divorce. It was also extremely well built and stunningly accurate.
I would happily buy another should I come across a good deal.

I picked up a 243 heavy bbl years ago. Didn't group worth a darn.

Found a sling stud on the forearm some one installed without removing the action. It was hitting the barrel. Fixed it.

Back to the range with Sierra #1530, IMR 4350. Averaged a solid 3/4" for 20 shots @ 100 yards. Sold it. Already had a Rem 40X.
Guy that bought the Sako, traded in a Ruger #1 243 HB, it was not very accurate.

I have one in 220 Swift. I once took a woodchuck at about 300 yards in a 20 mph gail. It took a few tries to get the windage right. Great gun.

Did you have an urge to wear a ski mask when you bought it at that price?
