Saw the ads for these and decided to try one, very limited in available cartridges.
Looks like a good tool for dryfire practice. Anyone out there using one?

I've used a similar system for the past couple of years. It does help make dry fire practice more productive as there is immediate feedback. Drawing from concealment and point shooting is where it helps me the most as that isn't allowed at my local range for good reason.

It keeps my skills sharp as I don't get to the range as often as I used to. But when I do get to a range I do see steady improvement in group size and accuracy.

I've also used it to teach new shooters the basics of safe gun handling without the fear of recoil or muzzel blast.

In my opinion its a good tool to have.

Thanks for the reply. What similar system do you have? I ask because the Strikeman is somewhat limited in cartridge selection and they are expensive at 50 bucks each.

I am seeing pre orders at $99 each which includes Strikeman Laser Cartridge, Strikeman Target, Strikeman Smartphone Holder and Access to Strikeman App. If the unit meets expectations even at $99 it's not a bad deal. The trick is the cartridge. The cartridge needs to contain a tiny pulsed LASER and battery so when the firing pin spot is hit a single pulse of LASER is emitted. The target would likely work fine with any number of cartridges as it just records where the LASER pulse hits it and transmits the data to a smart phone.

Something not mentioned or that I saw was how well it does with rapid fire or in other words how fast can I make shots?
