They something similar up here in the upper Midwest but our seasons are Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter and Road Construction.
But after living in Alaska, folks up here don't know how good they have it.
Blossoms on fruit trees were killed and branches came down when we had a severe frost and heavy wet snow in April.
My two dwarf cherries had a nice crop, but it killed every blossom on my peach tree.Yeah, we had a real late frost here too. Doesn't look like my apple trees will produce anything this year. Plums seem to be doing fine though.
Eastern Florida. Kel-Tec PF9, carried ITB (inside-the-belt, in IWB holster) since 2010. Replaced the blued slide with a hard-chromed one in 2012 to stave off rust.
Second Kel-Tec (P32) on front pocket. Ten-round reload for the P32 on belt (if I go somewhere where the PF9's presence may be impractical, the P32 will become the "primary" when the PF9 gets stowed somewhere.)
Will possibly be grooming the newly-acquired Ruger LCP MAX for pocket-carry, maybe even as a primary, as I have been considering abandoning belt carry for tucked-in shirts.
You stay safe buddy! Keep hydrated!!!We never had a winter here. I can’t recall the last rainfall at home that did more than just spot up the dust on my cars.
Gonna be 100+ all weekend. Tough to hide more than my LCP II under a sweat-sticky t shirt and shorts.
Stay safe.
If it was me, with those options, PF9 on belt + new LCP Max in pocket and shirt happily continuously untucked, in FL.
Summer-time, in SE Texas? The wet, rainy, green corner of Texas? I carry an ice pack, and an umbrella. The umbrella is mostly for shade.
Actually, the temperature is not so bad, but it is extra-steamy, this year. Carry guns are the usual assortment of revolving pistols: SP101, Speed Six, K-snubs, GP100 with 3” or 4” barrels. Same as all year.
I conducted experiments with HBWCs loaded backwards over 30 years ago. When they worked, they worked well. I found expansion and penetration to be very unreliable.First, Jeepnik wins the prize for Most Unusual Carry Rig. I grew up wanting an AMT Backup because all the magazines said they were great. My mother said that instead of an AMT, I could make a gun shape with my fingers and yell, “Pow,” so I went with that.
Now that I am in my 50s and Florida’s temp is in its 90s, I’ll try out this:

I don’t buy $1 rounds of .38SP, so backwards FWC will have to do.
Florida ice pack army here. People look at you like you’re nuts when you put an ice pack under your hat, but screw emSummer-time, in SE Texas? The wet, rainy, green corner of Texas? I carry an ice pack, and an umbrella. The umbrella is mostly for shade.
