Carry habits....same or "gun of the day?"

Well it's a yes, and a no.
If I'm going to town for what ever reason, it's always the same handgun, in the same spot, appendix carry, always.
When I'm working it's a revolver in a flap holster carried cross draw.
When going out to excercise some other handgun, it still never changes.
I believe that im going to transition to the only appendix carry, simply by having essentially the same pistol, but a shorter bbl for more flexibility.
Muscle memory and different locations may at some point be a problem, as I dont spend as much dry practice time with the revolver on its position.

When I was younger I had a habit of switching up what I carried with no real rhyme or reason. I heard that was called "the gun of the day."

Do members here do that?

I don't have a "gun rotation", or swap guns out frequently. Daily carry is very consistent for long periods.

It's a bad idea. Find a firearm you like and the right method for carrying it and stick with it. At the very least wear it in the same place and make sure the manual of arms is identical.

Since Father Goose has said in another thread that he is gone from THR, the discussion is moot for him. It's pretty clear than just rotating guns for COS play is silly. Different guns for different situations that you have become competent in using makes sense.
