I like this thread. I think holster wear is sexy.

Bravo!
Might I say you have excellent taste in revolvers and pocket knives, as shown by your choice off a S&W Model 638 and a Schrade Old Timer Mountain Beaver Senior knife! A very handsome and capable pairing!

Your 442 looks a lot better than my buddys does. My kids 642 is really rough too. S&W needs to come up with a better overcoat for them.
I had one of those Kershaws when they first came out too. Came with a plastic guard on the edge of the blade. Took that right off, and then proceeded to lay the flat of my thumb open with it with the first flick.
Yep, I am old, Silvertips in the 9mm, but I do have CDs in the .380
Some wear in there, other on the safety and slide stop that doesn’t really show in the pictures.
I’ve occasionally been unfaithful with a P365 SAS and a Ruger LCP Max, but I keep coming back to this gem. I just put a Pachmayr Guardian grip on it. So easy to carry 24/7.

I keep gravitating back to a 642.
Yeah, it's good to have a small semi auto too. I just got a .380 S&W Bodyguard which is joining team carry . It's so small.Autodidactic
Perfectly natural as there just seems to be at times something very reassuring with carrying a S&W J frame snubby.
I do the same thing with my Model 649 and Model 638; sharing time with a Kahr CM9 in my CCW rotation.
Do have a pic of the gun I currently own that has been carried the most, but sadly no longer since my back doesn’t like that much weight on the belt any more. I briefly thought recently it was better, but that only lasted two weeks of EDC. Plastic or aluminum guns only for carry now

That looks like a well loved and used LCP.I agree.
So quick and easy to carry.
I call it my Personal Emergency Weapon (PEW)

JR, I think I can read that your 1911 is a Valor? If so, would moving over to the aluminum frame Vigil help with your back?
Yes, I had a Valkyrie for a while, but in 9mm. I don’t like aluminum 1911s in .45, tried it a number of times as just don’t like the recoil and speed. Much prefer polymers at that point like my HK45c.
I got rid of the Valkyrie after I bought an EDC X9 which shoots and conceals just as well and holds twice the ammo. But sadly the Wilson just isn’t quite a 1911, and the 1911 does call sometimes.
Ultimately I always end back up with a Glock 19 as they carry, shoot and conceal best for me, for whatever reason. No matter how often I try to find that better mousetrap, I go back eventually.
