I always have my NAA .22 short in my pocket and have had over 40 years. Twice it has saved me when only the sound of it being cocked was needed to end an incident. I also carry a J frame which I've also carried over 45 years, needed to pull it 3 times but never had to fire it. Knowing I have at least 1 of the two on me always has allowed me to feel confident when I go where ever I have to go.

One the vast majority of the time. Always carry at least one reload though. Occasionally I will carry a backup j frame just for the hell of it but it's rare.

When I carry, I carry one 9 mm Browning High Power. Three or for magazines. Never had to show my gun, and hope this will remain so all my life. Sometimes I carry a .25 mouse gun. But my HP has never had a jam or missfunctioned in more than 10 years shooting in a regular basis over 1000 rounds a year.
For IPSC that is my passion, I have a P 226. Also very good gun. But too wide and heavy to conceal carry.

Some folks say "Two is one and one is none." (If that is so, three is two, thence one and in fact none..how far does one pursue that theory?)

--In their eyes, I guess I carry none.

--In my eyes, one is enough.

And since I'm the one carrying it, my opinion is the one that counts. :)

I carry two Charter Arms .44's when I'm walking through my neighborhood, or hiking here in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas. Not just for the human threat; I've seen bears in the woods. Certainly, they're not grizzlies, but a pissed-off or aggressive bear could really screw up your day. Same thing for a drug-crazed meth-head, of which there are plenty in Arkansas. One .44 in the left pocket, one in the right. This is what some call a ''New York reload.'' When I'm running errands in my Jeep around Little Rock, I carry ONE Charter Arms .44.

Mostly just one but now that it is winter and it is easier to conceal, it may be two some days. Could be a j frame in the right coat pocket, a BG380 in the left. Or a shield IWB with one of the previous mentioned in a pocket.

I've never carried three yet. If I get an ankle holster someday I might give it a whirl.

If i can pocket a small .380 or a .38 snub i will along with my normal EDC Shield 9mm. I usually carry the shield at about 4 o'clock IWB. I like having a backup in my pocket because of the threat of multiple attackers. Im not worried so much about running dry with my 9mm but the thought of possibly losing the gun in a struggle and being shot with it. It is a major threat to police officers and many have died due to getting there guns taken away from them in a stuggle and shot with it. I would rather have an option god forbid someone gets the drop on me and takes my primary. That is when i can though. Some hot summer days i dont even have a shirt on for half the day so on occasion i just have a gun in a pocket holster.
