I just picked one up today $15 it fits my my Remington 870. What kind of slugs can I shoot through that rifled choke and will that help me with accuracy or am I better off with the cylinder choke?

I found no real difference when using Foster slugs and the rifles choke tube. Minor, if any, with several kinds of sabots. My personal belief is that the slug is going too fast by the time it hits the choke for one inch of very shallow rifling to have much effect.

I have also seen no difference.

I, however, used a factory branded Browning rifled Invector Plus choke in a 12 ga BPS. The choke is 4-5 inches long and might have a 1/4 turn total spin through that length.

the rifled choke tube does act like a spreader choke, i have patterernd it at 15 yards.
