Ok, so CBC brass is known to be thicker than most brass and almost always fails to case gauge after reloading (SAAMI minimum). Ok so how is it that the factory loaded rounds case gauge just fine with that brass? If the total width is determined by the width of the bullet + the case wall if they can load them with a standard 9mm .355 fmj bullet any reload with the same diameter should work as well. Do the case walls get thicker after firing a factory round?
If I reload a CBC case, there is a visible bulge in the case wall where the bullet gets seated. None of them ever case gauge to SAAMI minimum specs. I've tested CBC factory ammo and it does case gauge to SAAMI minimum.
Needless to day, I don't normally reload any CBC brass, but one or two will occasionally sneak in.
