I need brass for .32 Win Special (see my other recent post - my FIL trimmed the brass too short). Ammoseek shows American Reloading as having brass in stock. Not cheap though at $1.25 each. I'm hesitant to drop $125 plus shipping to a company I've never heard of who just happens to have brass when no one else does. Worried about a scam. I also found one complaint at BBB and a thread on Reddit about a customer getting screwed.

Anyone use them? What was your experience?

Thanks

How short did he trim it? It'll stretch with full power firings, in short order.

Personally I'd chase down some 30-30 to convert before I'd pay that price.

Is it as easy as running .30-30 through the sizing die? I’ve never annealed before.

Trimmed to 2.000. The trim length is 2.030. Did it 60 years ago when he was a teenager and didn’t know better. No way to load it to the correct OAL and still crimp in the crimp groove.

I've ordered from America reloading several times. Been plenty happy every time, too. I loved when they were running their 32 pounds of WC-844 for 400 bucks shipped. Stocked up pretty heavily on that.

I bought 8lbs of WC-846 couple years back. No problems, no delays. Got what I ordered. Would definitely use again.

You could do several things to use the brass you have now. Load it short and see if it's accurate enough to suit you.

Shoot cast bullets with multiple lube grooves and crimp in the upper lube groove.

Get a lee factory crimp die and seat to the correct overall length but crimp lower on the bullets side.

Get a cannelure tool and put a cannelure lower down your bullets to hit your brass.

Buy custom made bullets with a cannelure farther down. I think hawk bullets will do this.

I'd guess 8-10 loadings will bring the brass back to the right length.

I haven't ordered from them but have heard good reviews. Looks like they have a 15% off discount code on brass at the top of the page.

I have not ordered from them, and know nothing about them......except I see on their website, they are located in Grain Valley, MO, which places them nearly line of sight or walking distance to Lake City. Looks like they sell a lot of military pull down components.....mainly bullets. So another ammo place in the neighborhood, to go along with MO Bullet, Sierra Bullet, Starline Brass and the Capstone group, which is VV powders, Lapua, Berger bullets, etc. All within 40 to 50 miles of each other (and Lake City). Who knew?

Which means us Missouri folks get to pay sales tax on all of it. Which amounts to a 8-9% premium. I liked them a lot better when they were in Montana. LOL
