Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Wind wasn't too bad after all so to the range I went. The new toy shoots extremely low. When I work up an accurate load I will file the front sight down until it prints right. There is a lot of height there. I also found to be finicky about ammo. The rim of some cases is slightly too large to seat and locks up the cylinder. The rear of the cylinder isn't flat like a Ruger.

Picked up the new battle belt Kore essentials released and love it. They promote it as the first micro adjustable battle belt and its true you can adjust the belt on the fly without undoing the buckle. So you can tighten or loosen 1/4 inch at a time while you walk. It is a game changer for me on my range days. Once I secure my belt I don't like undoing my buckle to adjust it. Downside, it is expensive.

Ordered two gun related items, one from Cabela's (IOSSO CASE POLISH) AND A SET OF .223 Lyman Carbide loading dies from Midsouth shooters, both arrived yesterday. Happy Camper!!

IMG_2818.JPG Couldn't find a pound of Leverevolution powder anyplace but a couple weeks ago Hodgdon had 8 lb. jugs available direct from them so I figured that I may as well spring for that. It just showed up the other day and I was exploring other uses for it besides the .30-30. Discovered listings for this powder in the 8x57mm Mauser and loaded up some yet to be tested 8x57 loads and did some of my regular.30-30 loads that use this. Won't have to worry about 30-30 loads for a long time. Nice to see some reloading supplies showing up again.

Lee Safety Prime (new style) for my LCT. My old one has gradually deformed over the years so it’s almost impossible to get the lid off the small primer unit to add more primers. I hope the new style works as well as the old—never a minute’s problem.

$202 on ammo Thursday at Scheel's and came away a little depressed about what a small bag that filled, but at least I did score on a box of some .357 mag, which I haven't seen on a shelf anywhere in a long time.

Bought a Colt Huntsman and a Spanish 7mm Mauser today at the Central Wisconsin Gun Collector's Show. Great place to shop for guns. Mostly private sellers, if you're a Wisconsin resident.

Had to take a pass on the M1 Carbine I was hoping for - didn't bring along enough money - though there were quite a few for sale at current astronomical prices.
