Electrical Tape...is this a bad idea?

Sunex 10-50 Inch Pounds. +/- 3% CW & 6% CCW. I paid $87.48 June 2019 ($133.58 today, so likely a no go for it)

Olsa 30-150 Inch Pounds. rated +/- 3%. I paid $86.87 Dec 2020. Taiwan

I try to use a torque wrench where the needed torque is somewhere near the middle of its rating, but the Olsa claims 3% for the entire range.
How does the Wheeler stack up against the Sunex? Just surprised to not have seen it mentioned. Is the wheeler fat wrench any good or?

I have read enough negative reviews to steer me away from it. I originally started out thinking I would get that but I was left with the impression that a true mechanic's torque wrench would be the best option like this Sunex. I plan on hitting the pawn shops at some point and trying to find an old made in USA S-K beam scale torque wrench too because I'll bet it's more accurate than anything made in China and distributed in America but I ordered the Sunex and I'll probably keep the Real Avid as well. maybe.

Depends on the torque values, the ARC Embrace scope rings I just mounted are 55 inch pounds for base and cap screws. That is why I have both of them (Both 1/4"), but yes, most mounts are under that, some way under.

I also have an eTork 30-150 1/2" torque wrench for torquing pre-fit barrels onto actions.

With a million different ones, of whatever it is, at our fingertips these days, it's hard to choose. :)
I need a ft lbs wrench too but I don't need it just yet. Maybe I'll just keep the Real Avid wrench since it goes up to 70 inch pounds and the sunnex stops at 50. Can you verify the Sunex with a luggage scale and adjust it internally if it gets out of tolerance?

You can verify your torque wrench yourself. My Wheeler has been right on the money. My larger torque wrenches I take to work and have the QC guys check them.

One of the reasons I have come to favor beam wrenches is because of the difficulty in finding commercial shops to recalibrate my clicker wrenches.
