I finally got my double barrel yesterday. It got held up along the way due to weather then I got delayed on background check, but I finally have it home. I’m excited about the gun, but I am thrilled at how well it fits me. I haven’t shot an old Stevens sxs before and I bought this one online so it was a bit of a gamble, but it paid off. Eyes closed and manipulating it all kinds of ways, put it on the shoulder and it just lines right up. The only other guns that fit me this well is the contender with the grips everybody else hates, and the J frame with Altamont Altai grips.

What guns have you ran across that just really fit?

My wife has 1 as well, a Glock 42 that she point shoots like it’s an extension of her pointer finger. She picked it up at the shop and immediately knew it was what she wanted. Too bad I can’t get her to shoot with me more often.

Handguns? P7 like it was made for me, honorable mention to the HiPo.
For rifles, the FR8, with second place going to the '03 Springfield, though the tiny sights take a second to aquire.

Of course ARs can be easily custom-fit to just about anybody, lol.

I have large hands. But for a carry gun, I shoot my gen1 LCP within a 3" POA at 10 yds. with little effort on my part. That's with using the Weaver stance.

Ruger Mark 1. I can pick it up, hold at arm's length with my eyes closed, swing it around a few times, and every time I open said eyes to check, the sights are perfectly aligned.

I bought an Ithaca Flues 16 GA sxs when I was 18, just because I wanted a 16ga sxs. However, I soon found that I could bring the gun up to my shoulder and hit whatever I was looking at without even putting my cheek down on the stock or using the bead. That gun was, and still is, my go to shotgun for upland game

Guns that just "felt right" from the get-go:

Colt Combat Commander
Browning Hi-Power
CZ P01
SIG P229
HK VP9
Ruger SR9c

Colt SAA
Ruger Single Six
S&W Model 686

Ruger 10/22
Colt AR15
Rossi Model 92

Remington Model 870
Franchi Renaissance
Beretta Model 680

For me, my dad's Browning Double Auto that I inherited from him fits me a well as any shotgun I have ever fired. Point and shoot. Dead bird.
My best fitting rifle is my Tikka T3 Lite in .270. Again, perfect alignment with the Vortex Viper in medium height rings. Have yet to miss a deer with it.
Best fittin handgun for me is again a Browning - A Buckmark Camper. Bought one and loved it as it put rounds right where I pointed. #1 Son claimed it for himself last hunting camp, so I had to buy another one to replace it. Mrs. Poper was very understanding...

Most guns fit me fine, but the best for me are:

Pistol: 1911/2011

Revolver: Ruger Blackhawk and SAA (including clones)

Lever Action: Marlin

All other rifles fit fine

Pump/Auto Shotgun: 870/1100 and Benelli

Double Barrel: SKB

Over Under: Winchester 101

Browning Citori. Comes to my shoulder like nothing else I've ever tried. Like it's part of me. I have two and they are both the only shotguns I've owned since 1977.
Handgun? S&W M629 8 3/8 barrel. It's a lot of gun but it fits my hand real well.

Hmmm…

Revolver? I have a scratched up 4” Model 64-3 with the ugly rubber Hogue grips that points at the ten-ring as soon as I pick it up.

Auto loader? Weeeelll… I know many people will probably have an aneurysm, but the SIG Mosquito is the handgun that literally feels like my hands were used to make the molds. A close second is the Ruger Mk grip frame (Standard through IV) with thumbrest target grips.

Rifle? An AR-15 with the BCM adjustable stock and Mod 0 grip just points right for me.

Shotgun? The 1100 LT 20 gauge. I point it, I shoot it, clay goes poof .

Stay safe.

Not surprisingly but probably the best fit for me is a 1911, but it’s gotta have a decent beavertail (or I get slide bite) and a medium/long trigger.

The surprising fit, especially considering internet carping, is Glock. They, especially the Gen 4 17 and Gen 5 19 feel like they were made for my hands, and the “bad” trigger just works for me, and always has.

For rifles I was surprised that once I started really shooting rifles, to find ARs fit me really well, I shoot them quite close to my good bolt guns and they just feel “right” for me.

Shotgun = Browning Citori XS Sporting clays 12 ga. (points exactly where I look).
Handgun = CZ Orange Tactical (a dream to shoot, makes me look like I know what I am doing).
Rifle = Winchester ‘92 Trapper Takedown .45 Colt. (fits and points perfectly).

All just “feel” right!

If I may ask, what is the model number of your Stevens? Does it have double triggers? Does it have interchangeable chokes?
Does it look like this?
Stevens 311 SxS rt.jpg

CZ PCR / P-01: in 9x19 mm. The best ergos I’ve ever tried on a “modern” handgun.

CZ-82: in 9x18 Makarov. Please note: Makarov can describe a chambering (9x18 Mak.), an actual gun type….or both. Don't let a seller fool you…..

Sauer 38 H (.32 Auto).

Model isn’t marked. I need to spend some time to figure it out. 2 triggers, pretty plain. Old enough to have plenty patina and the blued bits are all brown. Fixed chokes, but I don’t know what those are yet.

By photo I would guess that it’s a 325 with a replacement buttstock. 325 guns had some checkering but mine does not, so I assume it to be a replacement stock from another model using the same reciever or very similar reciever. It is a Chicopee Falls gun maker marked as J Stevens Arms and Tool.

@WestKentucky have fun with that new shotgun. Sounds like a good time to me!

I could list several guns, many models that have already been mentioned but the gun that surprised me (at least most recently) was the P80 I finally got put together. I had no idea what I was getting into. Just started buying parts as they went on sale. It turned out to be a solid pistol.
