I have a Stainless Rossi with a 20 inch barrel. Its been a good shooter. Removed the bolt safety and matted the finish. Add Ghost ring sights. It doesn't extract as well when it's below zero. Otherwise reliable as the day is long.

My wife and I each have one. How she grew up not watching how John Wayne used a lever action ..........
The hex 24 inch I had when you shot 38's you didn't need hearing protection. It was too heavy for for what it was. My hex 45 colt is lighter. Don't see the brass frame much.

I've got the blued version that has quickly become my go-to farm gun. Its quick handling and with cowboy loads it isn't punishing to the ears if I have to pop a varmint without ear protection. I'm about to order a saddle ring for it and try using a single point sling with it.

I would love to find a 38/357 version of one around here. And I need to find a companion 45 colt revolver to go with my carbine.

Dandy little guns.

Going to be at the LGS before he opens. And snatch this one.

Nice gun, I enjoy my 20” blued model in .357.

If you find the ejection spring is throwing your empties too far, which is common, a switch to a hardware store or EBay Century C530 spring is an inexpensive fix. It also lightens the action.

Good luck with your new gun!

Enjoy! I've had a 357 Rossi for a number of years and it's a fun rifle. Mine was a little rough, but as others have said above I took a stone to the action and now it's very smooth. If you decide to try and do the work yourself there are a couple of very good videos on YouTube that will show you how to take apart the rifle and what parts to smooth out. I'd recommend getting the Steve Guns Home Action Job kit as it has everything you'll need to slick up your rifle.
