It didn’t have a model name on it… but since there are more modern revolvers named “Governor” and “Judge,” I guess this early attempt must be “The Intern”.

(Just the last inch or so is lightly rifled, hard to see in the picture.)

My pocket rocket

I believe this is a fourth model S&W .32 break-top with a 6” barrel. This is the first one I’ve held with such a long tube, those microscopic sights couldn’t have been much help on the target range.



The old girl functions perfectly. It must’ve been stored in a safe for decades, unused by anyone.

....... Should have got her one of these.... .......It's my wife's "gun", and the only gun she will pick up. Fires blanks only and she uses it a few times a year when the Canada Geese numbers are way up and there's too many of them out back making the lawn area a big mess. She even brought it out one summer night at dusk for a raccoon in the ditch down by the road, but he left before she got to use it. Figured that in the true spirit of randomness this would qualify for this enjoyable thread. Is that Iver Johnson Hammerless capable of getting off the "disabled list" ? Would be cool to shoot a gun with some of your family history.

No recoil complaints from slender young Sofilein / Sofi using select-fire (she's a tank expert) for the G3. Make sure you keep your eyes on the gun.....

Belgian-made African flintlock trade musket - as purchased:

Two rando internet bubba’d guns and as a palette cleanser my recently acquired ‘08 .25 vest pocket Colt..,

One of two mint condition, unfired Walther P1 pistols I picked up from Gander Molehill way back in 2007. This one is shot on a regular basis while the other has sat in a safe since its acquisition.

This type of situation might be fairly unique, so maybe can 'count' as a random "photo" series.

The girl hears that it was used in WW2, but she has probably never seen a Mauser, or possibly she is a "poker player", keeping quiet.

The non-German guns somehow don't seem as interesting in this situation, therefore...
