I understand using them for bullet jackets, but what was the danger from obviously loaded cartridges?
Especially the Browning ones. I can nearly guarantee there is no priming compound in those four.;)
Was there some in the fifth?
Or did you mash it all to heck with the bullet?

Also… Are the 17HMRs useful for this too?
Do you use different case for different weight bullets?
Very interesting to me.

Darth Vanger .... take some pics of your process and share them if you will one day please. Wish you would give us a step by step tutorial.

You using Blackmon, Maker, BTSniper swages just for for .224 .... 30 cal? Base punch? Just 55s or also 62s?

Yes there is uses for the 17 HMR. I’m kind of paranoid that the rounds could go off, better be safe than sorry. The .17 hmr could be used to make heavier bullets(longer) but I don’t have the dies to make longer ones yet. I’m currently having annealing issues with the brass case as jackets, I’m trying to find the sweet spot in terms of heat exposure to soften the jackets.

I am not yet a “pro” at doing this, but I’ve considered making a video. I don’t see much videos about particular setups or the how tos and stuff. I might fill in that whenever I get the chance around to do so. When I started doing this, there really wasn’t anyone to show me “visually.” I know there’s those people that can do it by reading on a manual and then there’s those that needs to learn it “visually”(seeing it by eyes to learn and grasp it). I am using Richard Corbin’s dies and press to do the swaging. I like his setup.
