....but who knows?

I bought a S&W M41 target pistol today, been looking at it for several weeks. It has been in the bottom of the display case sitting on a beaver pelt. It belonged to the LGS owner's dad, who was the original owner of the LGS, but he took off for the Alaskan wilderness last year. I got the box, tools and paperwork with it.

Undeniably, one of the finest .22 rf autos ever produced by a factory. It was intended for serious Bullseye competition duties. The pistol is safe for high velocity ammunition but most shooters prefer to use standard velocity stuff in this classic pistol; no need for anything faster when paper is the target and extreme accuracy is the goal.

Excellent looking revolver. You are going to have years of fun with it.
Good luck and good shooting.
???revolver???

Beautiful, but fickle in my (admittedly limited) experience.
Hope you have better luck than I did.......
I've heard they can be problematic, hope mine isn't one of them. First thing I did when I got it home was field strip it and clean it. There is only the slightest signs of wear on the rails, everything else looks brand new. I lightly oiled the mechanism and used some Lubriplate grease on the slide rail grooves, like I do on all my semiautos. Range testing will tell the tale, I suppose.

I saw one of those at the range a few weeks back. Absolutely incredible to shoot. The slide is a work of art truly. First time I saw one.

I had a ruger mk iv I was trying out next to him, and I liked his better :(

Sweet!

Always wanted one but never had all the capital in one place at the same time to get it.

Let us know please how it does at the range.
