I am seriously considering one for a range toy. I already have a a ccw pistol so this is just to plink with. I like how I can interchange parts and upgrade it with Glock Gen 3 parts. What is the general consensus on the Dagger? PSA seems to have a few in stock on a regular basis now.

I just received one yesterday as part of the Ar15 + Dagger for $799 deal. Its the one with the RMR cut slide, rail, suppressor height sights, and the threaded barrel and ported slide. Its seems decent but I haven't fired it yet. Side by side with a new Glock 19 gen 3 it is a bit lighter weight than a Glock 19, the Glocks trigger has a more crisp and defined break, the Dagger has a mushier heavier take up without as much of a hard breaking point compared to the Glock. The overall trigger pull weight is about the same as far as I can tell, with the Dagger maybe being slightly lighter, but that just may be my perception because of the softer break. The slide has about as much play in relation to the frame as the Glock does. The grip texture is excellent, but the Glock feels just a little bit better in my hand. I might round off a few of the sharper edges on the plastic, particularly the trigger guard, the Dagger is fairly sharp while the Glock is rounded off here, which I think is the main reason the Glock feels better. I also plan to put an after market trigger on it. Of course all this is highly subjective, but for the feature set at less than $400, I am impressed.

I saw that deal. It was tempting…. Thanks for
the input!

I grabbed a complete slide with RMR cut and 1/3 night sights for 170, lower for $100, Aimsurpls barrel snd steel guide assy for $60 and a pmag for $12. Put a Holosun 507c on it that costs slmost as much as gun. Love mine. Have no concerns using as CCW. Seems as good as any. Frame and texture is best part. Trigger like a bit less than Glock but ok for my needs. Plan to get the full size when released. 70A8099F-C16C-40A2-8B44-D188899E7B40.jpeg

As a general matter, I despise Glocks. I have never liked the blocky shape of Glock grips, the standard bucket-outline plastic sights are substandard, and the safety dingus in the middle of the trigger face is bothersome. On top of that, my son is an Advanced Glock Armorer and I have been subjected to an endless litany of "shoot this" or "look at this" or "what do you think of this" for every new Glock model variation that has come out for years and years.

But what do I think about the PSA Dagger? It has a high degree of Glock compatibility while fixing the specific complaints I have about Glocks. The grips are nicely shaped and have good texturing, the standard metal 3-dot sights are easy to use, and the hinged trigger is surprisingly good (and better than those on S&W M&P and FN pistols). Altogether, the PSA Dagger is a pleasure to shoot. Oh, and my personal Advanced Glock Armorer has pronounced the Dagger well made and good to go.

Are there any Glock Gen 3 parts that will not fit on a Dagger? I like how you pieced yours together.

I am pretty sure the locking block is different. PSA uses roll pins instead of solid pins like Glock does. I bought a couple of OEM Glock mags for mine.At some point in time I want to change the mag catch.

Gave my Dagger a pretty good torture test over the weekend. Over 2000 rounds. Ran just fine with all types of ammo. Sights were accurate at 7-10-15 yards. Made it my daily carry handgun when I got back on Monday. I prefer my Walther Q4 Tac in nearly every metric. But in the event of a SD shooting, the Dagger is much easier to replace.

I am sorely tempted to piece meal on together as you did for a fun project.

I have a Dagger complete slide optics ready with threaded barrel in the mail. Going to slap it on an already done P80 frame & put a can on it when it's out of jail. Cheaper than buying a whole new handgun just for a can.

I would buy a 5" long slide Dagger just for fun to compete with FNH-CZ-Springfield long slide to see them on the field range.
