Spinning Target not stable

Are there any holes in the base where long stakes could be driven to hold it securely in place ?

If not ... could 4 holes be drilled in the base for long stakes to be driven , holding it in place ?

The base looks like wood ... if so drilling 4 holes would be easy !

I just put a sandbag on top of whatever part is available. And yes, I have accidentally shot my share of sandbags.

These might work if they got enough purchase in that sandy-looking soil:

Add weight I believe would work as was mentioned sand bags would work well I believe

Weight. A steel base would be a good start.

Drill about 4 more holes in the wooden base & drive 10" steel spikes(nails) into the ground.

What about the screw type pet tie downs? I've used them when tying down a canopy in sandy/loose soil
