Anybody here ever used one of these? If so how do they hold up, are they relatively stable, is the weight reasonably easy to carry, for an old fart such as myself.

I have looked at this table several times and have yet to purchase one .... If a fellow were to read the reviews at the bottom of this page(link) ... it may give you an idea of some folks opinion ... I am sure that the opinions vary with what an item was expected to do ...

If I were looking for a quick shooting "bench" ... this looks like it would work OK ... but if you are shooting for "match grade" .... I look to a much more sturdy bench .... concrete/ deep buried pole type bench ....

So I guess it depends on what you are expecting out of it ....

I like mine, sure better than hood of pickup. It is kinda cumbersome though. I keep legs and base assembled but i still have to move around 3 pieces, the top, base and the seat. Way more stable than a card table and stool though. It really has a fairly heavy base and legs and with my additional weight it works well.

Jim Kirk, Thanks for the advice, about 25 years or so ago I built a bench similar to what you described out of 4X4's with an indoor/outdoor carpeting on the top, out by my personal desert range. I had the opportunity to use it about 4-6 times before I came out and found some idiots had used it for target practice, and later noted, those same idiots used it for firewood.

I've since bought a portable table (20+ years ago) from, I believe Cabela's, that isn't as sturdy as I would like, and at the same time is relatively heavy and only measures 21"X28". It assembles fairly quickly as well disassembles equally as fast. With all the parts involved in the Stable Table, I do believe I'll just hold on to the one I have. I only set it up to check my loads with a chronograph, and sight in various rifles, no competition target shooting btw.

ericuda, thanks for the response, I figured that it must be relatively heavy, as well as all the extra parts, just isn't worth it to me at this stage in the game.

It looks better than the collapsible model I bought a few years ago. It was a piece of crap that I returned. Since then I use a folding table and a separate chair. If you decide to get one, let us know how well it works for you.

I have one and it works pretty good. I leave it all together except for the top when I take it somewhere. The seat could be a little farther from the table but that's just personal choice. I've had mine for a couple years now and it seems to be holding up well.
