Good on ya! Days at the range in freezing weather are a lonely enterprise. But, a great way to start the year. At age 76 I'm spending time this week building loads for my new Tikka .223 and practicing with the new trigger in my 17MR. Good times, eh?

Man, I hope I'm able to do that if I reach 80. Not to be too morbid, but I'll be happy to make 78. Right now, I'm a spring chicken, though.

So, to you, congrats!

I'm shooting a Jackpot Trap shoot on Saturday, supposed to be about 10F when we start, plus wind chill dropping below 0. I'm not 80, but there'll be several shooters that are.

Congrats on your range day on your 80th, sounds like a real happy birthday. My 57th asked this week and wasn't overly happy, had to work another one. I would have had a chance on Monday, because I took a little more than a half day off, hoping yo get to the range to zero my 3 mausers, but instead I got to pay a registration fee for our son's car, drive it set set it's computer so I could inspect it and try and figure out why theplug wires keep coming off of the, new to its engine, that are also new. By the time I was fone it was dark.

Happy birthday. I'd say I want to do the same when I turn 80. But I've had too many times where I should have died to think I'll make it that far.
