After almost two years of having to have my neighbor keep/store all the rifles I love so dearly, I finally got my FID.
I got the safety training about a year ago, then got the FID application about 7 months ago. 6 months ago, I turned it in, got fingerprinted, photographed, the whole MA deal.
I just got the card. While the police went over the legal time limit, I didn't really have anyone to report them to. Nice.
As happy as I am that I can walk across the street and bring my rifles home finally, there will always be a bitter taste in my mouth for having to wait just so long.
