Does anyone collect the older Bersas yet? I think I am going to start buying up all the nice nickel older Bersas I can find. I think they are as good as the Spanish Stars and they are still not expensive.

Hello. I had good luck with a Bersa .380 and .22 that I bought in the '90's. Both were reliable and accurate though the .22 required high velocity rounds to function properly.

Best.

I put over 4,000 rounds thru a
bersa 383-A without any problems
or broken parts.I did replace
the recoil spring twice but
that's just normal.I think i
paid just $169.00 for it back
in 1993-4.

Old skool BERSA?

I'd almost give my left testicle for a stock (BERSA) 'Luan'.
and I'd almost lease out my right for a bone-stock (BERSA) Model 60...
;)

One of these would be nice, too:

....... the BERSA R 430 in 22LR

Bought an as-new-in-box Bersa 23 in the 22LR recently. Great fit and finish. Accurate too. Sort of a poor man's Beretta 87.

I have a Bersa 23 as well. Great gun! Mine is in nickel and it is done well. Very reliable and very accurate. These are not easy to find. Enjoy your little known but great pistol.

Great to hear that someone else has a 23, and in nickel, no less.

Gotta love those steel-framed Bersas.

Love my model 23. Replaced the ugly stippled wood grips with those from a Firestorm. What an improvement. It's one of my favorites...accurate and reliable.

Out of curiosity, what ammo functions well in your 23? I've had great luck with CCI Mini-mag and Stinger, but wouldn't mind finding something cheaper.

Luckily, mine will digest anything...that's one of the reasons I like it so much. It loves the bulk stuff.

Mine will shoot pretty much anything as well. It eats the cheap Reminton bulk pack stuff like it was made for it. That is also the cheapest ammo I can find in .22lr. On sale at Dick's it is $7.98 for 550rds. Sometimes they send me a $10 off coupon if I spend $50 or more. I wait until the ammo goes on sale and I buy $50 worth of sale ammo and then get my $10 off on top of that. I am such a cheapskate but I love it.

I've got a series 95 .380, which is i guess the grandfather to the thunder .380. I got it used for 120, and have put probably 500 rounds through it with no hiccups. I actually like it better than my dad's new thunder. mostly due to trivial personal preference stuff like the more rounded trigger guard, no integrated lock, etc....

Horge, thanks for the site of the Bersa family. I didn't realize what an attractive line they are. If they shoot as could as they look: might be the best kept secret in the gun world. Heading to a Gun Show nearby today, maybe there will be a Bersa .45 or two. Love the .45's.
