I wanted to check it out but it's a total Flash website. I deleted Flash from my computer when I noticed that the end-user agreement obligates me to an undisclosed financial burden, should Macromedia decide to monitor me and charge me for it.ka50 said:I play america's army.

Bummer.

Would anyone like to setup a THR Battlefield 1942 game sometime soon?
Well, they are fun to watch as a free floating spectator. Like watching ant wars.Agreed, deathmatches are boring.

I think I will splurge for MOHA soon though.

Some of us are on dialup and figure we would just slow you high speed guys down too much
Feanaro said:You may want to reconsider. I played MoH:AA for an unhealthy amount of time, as well as the PS2 MoH game(or was it games? Been a while). PA was a disappointment. Not many people play, the servers are usually laggy, and even when they aren't the hit detection is all over the place. You'll open up on a player five feet away and miss with all 50 rounds of .45ACP, then you'll snipe a guy across the map with an SMG. They have released another patch since then but I haven't heard anyone say it fixed a great deal. I was so put off by the initial experience that I didn't bother checking it out.
The single player is more fun but they really didn't use the jungle setting that well, IMO. It's like playing inside but the walls are a solid mass of trees and there is no roof. There are a few open spots though. I enjoyed the single player a good bit, especially the Tommy gun. But it was quite a let down for the price.
I wish deathmatches were more popular. When I must, I'll play an objective game. But I play to fight other people, not defuse bombs. Probably why I hate games with "rounds." I don't want to sit and watch everyone else play, I want to charge into the enemies, take a few with me, respawn, and have at it once more.
Hehe. I can remember playing Team Fortess Classic as an HPB(High Ping illegitimate child ). On good days when the stars were aligned, the moon was blue, and the Lord smiled, I had 300 ping compared to everyone else's 100. Usually it was more like 1000.
Phyphor said:Yea, I remember quite a few games, playing with 400ms ping,..... I remember totally owning these two guys (I was a HWguy, you know, with the minicannon?) and they were bitching because they had 500ms ping vs my 400. Boo friggin' hoo.
But to keep it more or less gun related, what gun for HWGuys?
Feanaro said:I used to play Engineer. I lagged too badly to do anything else. I was, however, a master at suicide EMPing. No HWGuy could last against my fiery kamikaze doom! When I got broadband, I switched to my personal favorite class, Sniper. That little red dot of dewn will never quite fade from my memory.
I always figured an MG-42 would be best. Something like... this.
Actually the Majority of those are Cheaters, they create and use 3rd party programs that more or less play the game for them, and in many cases give them things like invincibility, Unlimited Ammo, Bottomless Magazine's (never need to reload), Automatic Aim & Fire and many other things.jnojr said:I just can't get into any of those games.
You pay $50 Install. Start the game. Take two steps. BOOOOM! Head shot!
Start over. Take two steps. The entire world blows up around you. A bunch of guys run past. Why weren't the killed?
Start over. Take two steps. An enemy comes towards you. You unload everything in your arsenal into him with no effect. He's flying through the air, moving impossible fast, glances at you... you're dead.
These games all seem to be filled with people who do nothing but practice the game 20 hours a day. I'm just not willing to invest the dozens or hundreds of hours it takes to get to the point of not being killed within the first five seconds.
