Hey Everyone,

I'm looking at a hi-cap magazine on E-Bay, for a good price, and I was wondering what the proper way to get it delivered would be (taking into account that I'm in Massachusetts, and the seller is in Arkansas).

Does anyone know if I need to have it shipped to the local FFL?

Not for a magazine as long as it is legal to own where you are. The only thing that needs to go to a FFL is the frame or reciever of the weapon as the ATFE considers that to be the weapon. The fact that the frame or receiver usually has all the other stuff attached to make it functional doesn't matter.

However you asked for free advice on the internet so take it for what it's worth.

Greg is correct.

If a hicap mag is legal to own in your state then you can have it delivered any way you want, either USPS, FEDEX, UPS or some other commercial carrier.

Some sellers want a copy of your Class A license to prove you can legally have Hi-caps in MA.

If he sells you a Hi-cap and you DON'T have a Class A, it's really your problem not his anyway.
 
When you claim that it is an original magazine ver. 15 (or 17 or however many rounds it holds) in an unaltered state that holds 10 rounds :rolleyes:
 
Ewok_Guy: Maybe E-Bay just hasn't noticed that it was posted. I didn't read their selling rules, so I don't know their policy (and I'm too lazy to go check right now).

Anyhow, I decided to do the "buy it now" and get th emag for $30 (the only hi-cap CZ-75 magazines I've seen in MA are something like $50 and up). The auction was at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3616417958&category=36257&rd=1

It's actually an after-market mag, and... doh, I shoulda checked that it was really 15 rd - it looks like the 15 rd mag I have, and they claim it's "just like the one pictured", so maybe I'll be lucky. Otherwise, I don't have to reload as often at the range :)
 
Ebay's rules are (I think) that you can't claim that the magazine will hold more than 10 rounds. Thus you see 75 round AK drums being listed as a 10 round drum but in the description it has that it was made in the year "75 ;) " or it was the "75th version" of the drum created etc.

All kind of silly really.
