A female student at a technical college shot and killed two other females and then shot and killed herself. No other details at the time of this post.

Does anyone know if students were forbidden by campus officials or the State of Louisiana to legally defend themselves?

BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge police say a young woman killed two female students at Louisiana Technical College, then killed herself.

Few details were available. Corporal L'Jean McKneely said he did not know how many people were shot or whether there were any deaths.

This is a developing story.

It appears that I have duplicate posts. This is the original post but I didn't see it on the site for several minutes. Can we delete either this one of the other?

I think this adds a little more detail. Still being updated, though.

From: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23068842

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - A woman shot and killed two women in a classroom then turned the gun on herself Friday morning at Louisiana Technical College, police said.

Sergeant Don Kelly says police don't know the women's names or ages, or whether the killer was also a student at the college. He said the two victims apparently were sitting down when they were shot.

Few details were available. Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said he did not know how many people were shot or whether any of the shootings were fatal.

As another poster has stated, not sure a ccw would have helped in this case- given the current details that is. Girl walks in, shoot two other girls, kills self. You or I would probably be beat on the draw here, imagine an unaware person.

I just heard about this myself. I really don't want to speculate about whether or not a CCW would have done anything... To me, that's sort of like stooping to the same low as the Brady Bunch screaming for more gun control 5 minutes after the news breaks. I'll wait till all the facts are out there before I start to speculate about this or that.

Not really. If there was a CHANCE it would have helped then there's no harm no foul if it doesn't.

But you can GUARANTEE there is no chance if it's outlawed.

Entirely different arguments.
