No laughing please. Mine shoots small bullets, but still, I was the one who put it together.... It originally was a 100% stock Ruger Mark II (1986 vintage) bull barrel.

jaydee1156 ,

Nice touch with the flag reflecting off the slide of that 1911.

My Custom Browning HP

Not all the custom work is mine, the previous owner added most of it. I added the Esmeralda grips but the barrel bushing, grip checkering and S&W sights were all added by the previous owner.

I just got this back after an 18 month wait, it is an old model Ruger Blackhawk converted to .44 Spl.

The "just the way I like it" extras include a steel grip frame and ejection rod housing, custom rod, #5 basepin, Bowen rear sight, and patridge front sight with bead. The grips are ivory. Been wanting one like this for a long time....:)

I really wasn't too fond of the bland finish of my Anaconda with the factory matte stainless finish Colt gave it from the factory. I always preferred the Bright Stainless version. I bought a jar of Mothers Mag polish and used plenty of elbow grease (no power tools) and below is the finished product. Click on the pic for more views

By girlfriend's Beretta...definately qualifies as personalized!

Desertscout, I have to ask--where did you have that work done to your Glocks (specifically the finger groove removal), and how do they shoot now? :)

hnk45acp,

What the heck is that? *drool*

...built from kits. Not finished with them yet, but I put 20 rounds through each of them last saturday. Now I take them apart again and blast/park/paint

I am not sure if this fits in with what you are asking, but I make small changes to many of my guns to better do what I wish them to do - grips, sights, triggers, that sort of thing. The latest is some thin cocobolo wood grips on my CZ PCR - they are thinner and have a less "grippy" surface than the original checkered rubber ones with a palm swell, the better to get a more optimum grasp on the trigger.

"Personalizing" a gun can be bad, too. I recently saw a S&W M28 revolver that had what appeared to be a Social Security number (XXX-XX-XXXX) scratched on the frame. :what::cuss::banghead:

Glenfield model 60 less stock at a yard-sale... $5.00

Some old steel laying around the shop... $0

A way Tacti-cool coon gun... Priceless! :what:

Yes, it's real and yes, I made it. The AimPoint is an early model for a shotgun poor-boy adapted to the Glenfield. :p

To add to my above posting here is my new customized Glock 27. Again not customized by me but rather the previous owner, still its mine now! Custom porting, grip checkering removed from the front and Trijicon G-11 night sights...

Just about everything I have has something done on it to make it mine. Here are a couple I have done up just for me because I am worth it! :D
SAR 1 AK-47 changed just about everything on this one.

91/30 sniper complete refinish and added Krinkov brake. The inscription added on the side in red by the bolt is in Russian and translates to "Sleep well my friend"

Currently working on building an AR in .50 Beowulf. Still have a few items to go on it before I have it finished.

Both rebuilt from spare parts. I'm waiting on a fancy stock and handguards I got from two different guys that should go well together for the M-1.

Here's two I did.
First is my OACP I always wanted to have the look of the Kimber CDP, but in a Colt.

Next is a 1911 I built from parts to an old Colt Dad had. His frame was unusable, so I had Caspian build one with his initals and date of birth as the SN. Only parts that are from the original is the slide, trigger, MSH, guide rod, slide release and thumb safety.

Well not the gun but the holster...

Not the same, I know...just my initials on one of my Mernickle holsters:
