223 powder

I used W748, H4895 and IMR 4198 under 55 grain FMJ in 223
W748 meters the best and IMR4198 the least as it is long grained. I like IMR4198 as it goes farther, requiring only 19.0 grains for my recipe.

Well, since no one has mentioned it, I will chime in with a vote for H322. I tried it on a whim, and in my Savage 12VLP it has proven as accurate (if no more so) than H335. This is with 60 gr. Sierra Varminters.

Varget gives me some excellent loads.

H322 or Varget gives me good groups with either 50 or 55 grain Vmax
