I believe you're talking about the Billenium. You are correct that there were only 2000 made, and they typically command a premium when they pop up on Gunbroker and such. The biggest difference is that they are single action only, with a frame mounted safety. Beyond that, differences are carbon fiber grips, checkered front strap and back strap, extended magazine release, and some cosmetic differences in the trigger guard and slide.

I stand corrected. I have gotten out of my Beretta phase, and haven't been following new additions.
 
it was a gun that was built for the new millenium (year 2000) and the whole "Y2K" scare. i have seen a couple of these sell lately, they usually go for around 6-700.
 
I would imagine that price range would be about right for an unfired one. It's just a unique serial number run of standard 92's with wood grips, nothing particularly special about it that I can see.
 
Beretta 92 series exactly must have a straight dust cover.
I hate the ones with sloped dust cover.
Nice gun you have there.
