Built myself a sporty new .22 stock.

So I was tinkering around in the garage, and decided that I wanted to build a new stock for my stevens 87a. I wanted a thumbhole, or dragunov style stock for the ergonomics and the neat way it looks. I grabbed some good wood, and got to tracing and cutting. I haven't finished varnishing it, or sealing it, it's just stained so far to bring out the grain. Tomorrow, maybe I'll finish it up if I have time, but here's a crappy photo of work so far.




What do you think? I think I need a butt plate.

Thanks guys, I forgot to add mines in laminate, because hours of dremel work is not my friend.

The ten minutes of dremel work actually is even not my friend. My cut up left hand proves that! lol.

But if you are thinking of doing something like this, be sure to post pics! Its a lot easier than it may initially seem, I found. 24grit sand paper is also awesome.
