D.M. Bullard Leather Mfg.

D.M. Bullard makes a great everyday carry rig for my 5" Government model - the Combat with Bodyguard. Rides close to the body and very comfortable (for an OWB 1911 holster). Not a pic of me but this guy's waist shows off the rig better than I ever could.

+1 on VM 2

I've been carrying a 1911 in a VM2 for some time know. Holster is fully broken in and under a camp shirt, swaeter, or vest the gun disappears.

You've got options, that is for sure. Before deciding on how you want to carry it, you need to determine the environment. Your dress may dictate which you wear - IWB, OWB, or shoulder holster.

My dress is business casual, so if I carry, I have to go IWB with a tuckable holster (I have a VM2 with the kydex clips and it hides easily enough for me w/o looking bunched up). I can also use the normal VM2 straps and wear a loosely fitting button up shirt and the gun disappears as well.

If you can get away with it, an OWB is probably the most comfortable, but you need to have a way to conceal with a suit coat or something that won't fly open.

Suits are good for shoulder holsters too. :)

For casual wear, just go with whichever holster you like, and wear a long enough, loose enough shirt over it.

Like another poster I have a Pro Carry II. It has a fullsize frame, but only the 4" barrel.

Galco MOB, very adaptable holster. OWB strong side with cant, OWB cross draw and IWB middle of the back. Just depends on what I'm wearing and if I'll be driving as to how I'll be wearing it.
