I am in the market for a firearm. I saw the FN FS2000 and realised that while I may not want that rifle I do want something interesting/exotic/tactical/fresh/new. I have about $600 but can go as high as $1100. Cheaper is always better. I prefer something small like a handgun or carbine/bullpup as I live in an apartment and I prefer that my neighbors dont know I have guns.

Now to make things hard. No revolvers/1911s/mil-surps/collectables/out of production guns/ARs/AKs. I have alot of love for all of these but I either have one or several examples of each or simply am not interested in buying one right now.

What is out there that isnt a revolver/1911s/mil-surp/collectable/out of production gun/AR/AK?

Really Im just looking for something different, any ideas?

Some kind of SWATty shotgun?

The only other thing I could think of would be a heavily customized .22 rifle - make it look like a sniper rifle, etc.. That's more silly fun than tactical, though.

No what he's looking for is a Keltec SUB 2000.

It folds!

Also, it's available to take most pistol mags, including Glock mags. Also available in 9mm and .40S&W. It's under 600 dollars, and is small enough to basically take everywhere.

You might also want to consider the Keltec SU16 rifle. It's .223, takes AR-15 mags and folds, and is around 600 dollars too.

Both of these guns are unique, and pretty tactical, and basically fit your bill.

If you're on the cheap, you can get a Hipoint 9mm or .40S&W Carbine for 150ish dollars.

A six shooter rubber band gun. Cheap to feed, easy to operate, he*l on flies once it is sighted in.;) :D

sorry, couldn't resist.

I cannot think of unique guns besides bullpups, pen guns, small deringers and the like. In unique cartridges, I would suggest a 10mm. .357 power in an auto package.

I think they make bullpup stocks for the ruger 10/22. This way you have a unique gun in a common caliber that is uber-cheap to feed relative to nearly every other offering out there. Beyond that, I would start tinkering with blackpowder pistols, those seem like fun to me and a friend is currently putting a kit together.

Oh wait, it just came to me. An FN5.7. Fast bullet, armor piercing in a nicely finished FN pistol. Fits your price range too.

The breacher shotty looks awesome but from everything I understand no one in Houston would sign off.

The CX4 looks great but its one of those guns thats gonna be around for awhile, I see good deals on them here and there.

The kel-tecs look interesting Ill keep those in mind, kind of a cross between my underfolder AK and my AR.

The FNP90 looks good but I dont know about this 5.7ammo, expensive and really only used in two very expensive guns. I would hate to not be able to use it 5 years from now.

Not really into sniper type stuff. I got an old steel Weaver Medalist scope getting refinished a the Weaver Repair Center, as soon as that comes back Im going to stick it on a Marlin 60. Between that and my AR Ive got any long distance shooting (for me thats 200yards) that Ill ever want to do taken care of.

Thanks for the responces, keep them coming.

Dixie Consolidated 10/22 bullpup. Absolutely tiny (like 27" overall w/ 18" barrel), takes most of the 10/22 upgrades, neat design, etc. Nothing like the crappy Muzzelite stocks apparently, gets good reviews on RimfireCentral.

I believe around $200 for the stock, $100 for a beater 10/22 to strip from a pawnshop.

I'm thinking to build one of these later in the year, just working on other projects in the meantime. Plus school and work kinda get in the way.

Skorpion machine pistol, Mac10/11, any modified bullpup style rifles.

All of those are "exotic", possibly less than tactical however.

Gsg-5pk

$500 Cheap ammo, seems like you have all the other stuff covered, what about a cheap fun plinker.

I traded some stuff for one of these, they were asking $550. It's a Kel-tec PLR-16, 5.56 NATO, 1-9 twist, uses Ar-15 mags.

And all of the accessories I want are on the way so it will end looking something like this.
