Sell the AR and get a CMP Garand - I don't know that a MW of 3 is especially great. I got a SG Garand and the MW was 1.5 - but it's all luck of the draw unless you can get to one of their stores. CMP does a great job and you know they haven't really been tinkered with. Here's my two.

I own a few black guns. Im in the market for a M14/M1A as well as a Garand. but yea FlaminBryan and his brother secretly went to the Al CMP and got themselves each a garand without telling me so they could surprise me with them rather then asking me if I wanted one while they were there. selfish bastardoes. and yes theirs make me jones like a herion addict in a opium den
 
Oh and the reason I didnt trade is that the garand that was being offered to me for trade looks like a pile of dog shizz compaired to FlaminBryans and his brothers. theirs looks brand new. So Ill be getting mine from the CMP or one that came from there receintly.

but seriously, it is hard to look at a garand if you dont have one.

I just want to remind you, accidents happen, thats not a threat at all, im just sayin. one minute you're polishing your garand, the next you're sleepin with the fishes.

The condition of the Garand you described no I wouldn't trade and I do love the Garand.
 
well ive got bids on the AR on gunbroker so it looks like Ill be ordering a nice CMP Garand in about a week. glad I didnt trade now.
 
I have another AR that I like much better then the one selling. ide rather have a nice AR and a nice garand then 2 Ar's
