that's a sweet pair, cyclopsThough I love my 70 series pistols the ones closest to my heart are two of my many builds- I just couldn't part with the top one- a year later I made it a brother
Colt post-war military contract slides and barrels, Essex G.I. frames, wide spur hammers-
Top one done with Wilson Combat small parts (with an oh-so-sweet trigger)
Bottom one done as and experiment with Fusion Firearms small parts (impressed with performance, 6000 rounds so far)
that's a nice pair of baers
Interesting, and I like your style....I had 3 Sistema's at similar prices, too bad the market caught up on how good they really were....Like an idiot, sold them all for money long gone.....:banghead:not quite a 1911, but close enough, are my ballester molinas. one i bought arsenal reconditioned for $175 and the other in need of refinish for $125 in 2002 or so when century had these cheap. neither one is matching numbers or tight enough in the barrel collar to group well at a distance, but i carry the crappy one with a blast and matte black finish frequently. it never fails to go bang from me to you, and was cheap enough i could afford to lose it if i had to use it.
sweet, a rob leathem special
