My only 1911, and my favorite non revolver. :)

Parts gun in nickel and stag on and Essex frame.
No clue who put this together, but it's a fantastic shooter.

Kimber Custom stainless, it wears a Kimber 22lr conversion most days at the range these days

This Series '70 Colt made in the 200th year of American liberty. Today it no longer has the magwell and it has a different rear sight, MSH, grips, and a new finish. The parts were all damaged or worn from use. The roll marks were also redone as they had been mostly lost after the second refinish. But it shoots the same.

They are kinda like golf clubs, each one has a different task.

i love my loaded 9mm, even though i just recently "personalized" it upon reassembly.

I have many auto's in many flavors and sizes, but when the chips are getting low on my end of the table, make mine a series 80 45 stainless.
It's like the energizer bunny, it keeps going and going.

Series 80 Gold Cup, and S&W Model 745. Both shoot better than I do.

But I can still dream I'm their equal. :D

MkIV Series 70

Not mine, but it's identical...

This one is mine. It's not my absolute favorite full size, but it's in the top three. This one is mint with less than a box through it since 1974. I do really like it.

Its a toss up.

I really like my EDC Kimber (bottom). I paid $500 for it, and despite 1911s being "unreliable" its never failed to go bang.

My other is an AMT, my first pistol, rebuilt as a dedicated host for a .22 conversion. Considering it was built mostly out of take-off parts on a crap frame, it turned out great, is a lot of fun, and cheap to feed.

I've owned a bunch of 1911's over the years including Colt, Kimber, Springfield, Les Baer, Wilson Combat and Ed Brown.

My favorite of the entire bunch is the Ed Brown Special Forces...........I should have just bought it first and not bothered with all the rest.
