I like Tyler-T on mod 13 and mod 65

I especially like Tyler T grips on models 13 and 65.The bottom pic is a 13 with elk stag and the top two are 65 with old style Sambar stag. The top 65 has an interesting serial number,ANK001 . :D

I have an old model 37 that I am thinking about getting this T-Grip for after handing one at the gun show. It's a range gun anyways so it might be something interesting to try.

Much more than interesting! I've got a pair of round butt Uncle Mike's "rubbers" for my J frame snubbies . . . but found that for me the danged revolvers shoot much "softer" on the hand with the stock grips AND a Tyler T grip.

Who-duh thunk it?!!!

Here's my "always" CCW revolver, a Model 37 like you are considering putting a T-grip on. HIGHLY recommended, as it affords a proper, "high hold," won't print and it conceals well.

THE ONLY THING BAD ABOUT TYLER . . . is the company. They refuse to keep stock and like you to pay for yours before they build it. Crazy idea . . . and one that costs them a LOT of business.

Here's how I use it on my M37, after removing my serial numbered to the gun original grips and storing them in the safe:

Same gun, with original grips (stocks as S&W calls 'em). Either way, they look great and work even better than that:

I ordered 4 Tyler T from Tyler last week and was told abou 7 days for delivery. He had an N and J but no RBK (all in brushed chrome)otherwise would have shipped next day.I have ordered about 4 times from them and gotten good service and quicker shipping than I expected,so far.

Bullet, that simply has to be one of the coolest snubs I ever saw.

Just beautiful !

(Another super cool one being that 2" "Fitzed" Colt New Service .45, that crops up every now & then on various gun forums)

As others have said T-grips never go out of style! I had gotten one for an N-frame and trimmed up the bottom to sit flush on my Charter Arms .38 along with Hip Grips. I liked that they filled the hand a little more than the J-frame ones. Then to add traction I painted it with texturized spray paint (the kind of stuff you'd paint patio furniture with). I love the way it handles! http://hiddendefense.blogspot.com/2009/09/painting-tyler-t-grips-for-better-grip.html

i just wanna say every time i see youtube videos of ppl shooting their snubies pulling the hammer back every time I laugh out loud!

I have always been a big fan of them myself. I have even been known to cut and grind on the old Pachmayrs down to fit things that they were never intended too. :D

Are Tyler T-Grips coming back into style?

I think the bigger question is why this thread keeps coming back.

Please, someone, lock it before it's Necro'd yet again...

Noooo!!! Don't lock this thread! I like seeing some of the older revolvers with the Ts on them. This thread inspired me to do the same with my 686. Found a set of redwood laminate magna styles and ordered my "T" from Tyler before Christmas. Found out that they are not too punctual about shipping. Still waiting.

They just don't work for me. They cram my knuckle hard into the triggerguard. I need the space filled down, but not really forward.

A couple minutes with a Dremel, and I made this left over J frame T-grip fit my little Iver Johnson 55 .22 pocket plinker.

Thanks guys! Yes, the little Iver Johnson funcions great. Fun shooter, and the Tyler T-Grip works quite well with this. It makes for a nice understudy for my Cobra in post #95 in this thread. They are more or less the same size. Great for cheap practice.

I actually feel a bit guilty about the amount of enjoyment I get out of this little revolver, given how little I spent on it.
