Hello everybody,
I recently purchased a savage mark II. I have yet to shoot it, but I have heard it is quite an accurate rifle, and I'm anxious to see for myself. Does anybody know where I can purchase scope bases for this? it is already drilled and tapped. Would bases for savage 93's work?

Thanks, Happy shooting

Make it easy on yourself and call Savage with a credit/debit card handy. I have done this with a couple of Savage rifles - the last one......a Savage MK II.
IIRC it was around $10.00 shipped.

savage bases

If I remember right, they quit milling the dovetail on the Savage. They should be using the industry standard .750" hole spacing. All you should have to do is purchase two of the same # Weaver base with that spacing(I'd recommend the lowest you can find), screw them on and attach your optics.

EGW, Evolution Gun Works. One piece and good looking. Usually separate mounts for 93's will bolt on. The one piece type come in MKll and 93 due to port length differences. :)

I believe that I used Weaver bases for the model 93 on one of my MkIIs but it's been a few months and I can't remember for sure. But I do remember having trouble finding them.
