I would head for the nearest exit and do my best to eliminate any gunmen in my way.

To me, multiple gunmen, especially if they are armed with rifles, implies that they are substantially more organized than the lone criminal trying to make a score. Some planning went into their routine more than likely.

I just don't want any part of it and will take my chances on making a break for it early in the game. Not willing to ride it out in hopes that they have tender mercies of any sort, cause it ain't likely. They have a plan, and I don't want to stick around to see them enact it.

Either way, it's a tough call. One person attempting to forcefully leave could set them off and get a whole bunch of others killed in the process in a desperate attempt for said criminals to maintain control of the situation.

This thread kind of hit home. My wife is a TJMaxx junky.

If it were I, I'd try my best to get the hell out the back way, or some exit they had not blocked.

With multiple gunmen, the odds do not favor a shootout. I agree with the above.

Trying to save the day with a wee sidearm vs. multiple loons with long guns is suicide for you and probably a good way to get others killed.

But that does NOT mean you can't use your sidearm to help YOU get out of there. Sounds selfish, but that's precisely what the handgun is for--defensive use. It can at least give you an edge at escape before they round you up, and if you see such a chance take it. Do not try to engage all of them. Just kill any who try to stop you and get out! Even if that means jumping out a window.

Amen, plenty of exits in TJ max, if you set off an alarm-rigged door all the better for the others. Run like the chickens....er dickens. :)

I think, it would be best to assess the situation first. The marines believe in superior firepower winning the battle for a reason.

Now, if one of the gunman was to turn to me and I felt that I was about to die or a loved one, well, I guess I would be taking him out with me if I could draw quick enough.

I think it would be best to stay down and wait it out. It would definately be a bad day for you if you pulled your side arm out as soon as the swat team came in. They would probably assume you were one of the bad guys...being that you had a weapon drawn and all.
