Bill Oreilly anti view

I've always found it interesting that he calls his show the "No Spin Zone" yet the content of his show is almost 100% spin. O'Reilly is the king of spin. Even the oath keeper guy was spinning and the "facts" he presented about Katrina were also pre-spun for your convenience.

The scariest thing about his view in the video is that he seems opposed to anything that interferes with the government's "control" of the people. City government should not be in the business of "controlling" the people in a city.

Cronkite was as far left wing as they come and his biases were apparent constantly in his "reporting." He called for the banning and confiscation of all the firearms of us "worker peasant rabble," too.

In a long interview in the Los Angeles Times about 14 years ago, he said the reason he did not become President of the United States -- arrogantly took it for granted if he ran, he'd be elected overwhelmingly -- was because he'd make so many people angry. He said as President, he'd institute communism and use the military and police to confiscate the firearms of "the People."

He was a Marxist Socialist inspired, elitist fool.

Agreed. But, he's a New Yorker, and we all know how they view guns in general...

For everyone claiming O'Reilly is a conservative, or this or that, lets stop
the "spin"....He claims often that he is a independent. If he believes you
should never go against the law thats made, even a bad one thats wrong
until a court decides otherwise...would this mean the "Underground railroad"
was wrong an they should of turned in slaves....would he? Maybe I'll have to
email him on that.....but lets not forget folks, at least he isn't making the laws,
an he supports our troops an gives back alot. For this O'Reilly is a "Patriot".

Keith Oberman knows the issues, history. I cannot say that about O'Really, and the rest of fox idiological nutjubs.

One side wants to control you through government and regulation. The other side wants to control you through values and religion. The key thing to remember is that both sides want to control you. It doesn't surprise me at all that Bill O'Reilly doesn't have a problem with the government disarming people. Guns are as much a threat to one power base as they are the other.

Wealthy people are not about protecting your rights, regardless of party. It always amuses me when people mistake the Republicans for 2A crusaders. Special thanks to Daddy Bush for prohibiting importation of that Steyr AUG I've always wanted. You could argue that Bush Jr. did ok, but that regime eviscerated the 1st, 4th, and 5th ammendments.

I normally like watching him but he gets the pinhead of the day for that statement.

Television, like ALL other forms of media exists to do one thing: turn a profit for it's shareholders/owners. Don't believe anything you hear or read until you can verify it at least twice.

Specifically, I don't confuse gun ownership and/or gun owners, as being committed to the RKBA, many gun owners from highly restrictive states have come to embrace the statist mindset.

All they are promising is to not follow orders which are illegal, immoral, and unethical, and for which "I was just following orders" would not be a defense if they DID follow them.

Amen to that. And as far as foretelling which political party (Democrat or Republican) or which political ideology (conservative or liberal) tends to be more pro-gun or more anti-gun, let's not kid ourselves: If you had to bet your life in predicting whose voting records as a percentage are more anti-gun on 100 picked at random politicians, half who are liberal Democrats and half who are conservative Republicans, who in their right mind would choose the Republicans?
If you don't believe me, review the NRA-PVF Candidate endorsements. The NRA ratings concern only each candidate's voting record pertaining to gun legislation issues and do not consider party affiliation or political ideology; only voting records, not promises. Yes, there are "exceptions to prove the rule" and, no, there are few politicians who are always on the right side of the issue, but if you're playing the percentages as I posed above and your very life is at stake depending on a correct answer, you'd have to be suicidal to say liberal Democrats are less anti-gun than are conservative Republicans.
